Female emerging from her natal gall.

 

Distribution

 

Ceratosolen_capensis_distribution

Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, South Africa, but likely to be present in other southern and eastern areas of the host fig distribution (lighter colour). In the western areas of the host distribution different pollinators are present: Ceratosolen flabellatus and Ceratosolen silvestrianus

Biology

Host fig: Ficus sur Forssk.
