Biological form

shrub or tree up to 7 m tall, terrestrial or sometimes hemi-epiphytic

Leaves

shape & colour

oblong to ovate, chartaceous to subcoriaceous, apex shortly acuminate, base rounded to cordate, both surface hirtellous

 

size

1-9 x 1-6 cm

 

lateral veins

3-5 pairs, basal pair faintly branched reaching margin far below the middle of the lamina

 

petiole

0.3-2 cm long

Stipules

0.2-1.2 cm long, puberulous, caducous
