Northern Angola to Uganda, southern Sudan and west to Sierra Leone.
Lowland rainforest and dry evergreen forest, up to an altitude of 1300m.
Pollinator: Dolichoris flabellata Wiebes
Closely related to Ficus dicranostyla with which this species may be conspecific.
