Distribution

Ficus dicranostyla distribution

From Senegal to southern Ethiopia and northern Uganda. Disjunct population in south-east Demoocratic Republic of Congo and northern Zambia.

Biology

Pollinator: Dolichoris flabellata Wiebes

Habitat

Savanna woodland, often in rocky areas or on termite mounds, up to an altitude of 1500m.

Comments

The two populations show morphological differences. The southern population is morphologically similar to Ficus variifolia and may be conspecific with this species.
