Biological form

tree up to 30 m tall, terrestrial

Leaves

shape & colour

nearly subopposite, (sub)coriaceous, apex rounded, base rounded, both surface glabrous

 

size

1.5-7 x 0.8-4 cm

 

lateral veins

5-8 pairs, midrib not reaching the apex of the lamina

 

petiole

0.2-1 cm long, glabrous

Stipules

0.2-0.6 cm long, sparsely puberulous, subpersistent

position

in pairs in the leaf axils or just below the leaves

 

shape

(sub)globose, Æ 1-2 cm (fresh), subglabrous

0.5-1.5 mm long, sparsely puberulous
