Checklist of Yemen Ficus (Moraceae)

(Life; Embryophyta (plants); Angiospermae (flowering plants); Eudicotyledons; Order: Rosales; Family: Moraceae; Genus: Ficus)

Checklists

Nine fig tree species are known from Yemen (the status of the presence of Ficus tettensis in Yemen is undetermined: Berg (1992) considers that a collection (Balfour 451, Dec. 1883) from Socotra answers to F. tettensis, consequently it is possible that the species does occur in Yemen and is recorded as such here. These nine fig species are predicted to support a fig wasp species richness of at least 60 species (van Noort & van Harten, in press).

Genus: FICUS
